A large, convenient carpark perfectly situated for exploring Tintagel Castle and North Cornwall’s many places of interest.

Welcome to King Arthur’s Car Park for short or long stay parking, including a licensed site offering overnight stays right in the heart of Tintagel.

Located directly next to the award-winning King Arthur’s Arms, you can enjoy a meal or a drink just steps from your vehicle or pitch. Tintagel village, the South West Coast Path and some of North Cornwall’s most spectacular attractions are all close by.

We offer three different areas, giving you plenty of choice depending on how you are travelling and the time of year you visit.

Our Three Overnight Areas

1. Level Tarmac Parking – Open All Year

Our large, level tarmac area is open all year round and welcomes all vehicles.

It is particularly convenient for motorhomes, campervans and larger vehicles, with plenty of space and easy access.

2. Grass Motorhome Area

Our dedicated grass motorhome area is open from Good Friday until 31st October.

With spacious grass pitches and beautiful views across the surrounding downs, it offers a peaceful alternative to the tarmac area while still being conveniently located for exploring Tintagel.

Overnight vehicles are parked with a minimum of 6 metres between vehicles, providing additional space, safety and privacy.

3. Summer Overflow Fields 

Our 3-acre overflow fields generally open around the third week of July and remain open until mid-September, provides additional space during the busy summer season.

The fields welcome:

• Motorhomes and campervans
• Cars with tents
• Trailer tents
• Roof-top tents
• Walkers arriving with tents

There is also a dedicated vehicle-free tent field for walkers, providing a quieter and safer place to pitch away from vehicles.

The fields offer plenty of space, fresh air and beautiful views across the downs, while being only a short walk from Tintagel village and the coast.

Facilities

We provide the facilities you need for a comfortable stay, with some available for a small additional charge. Keeping optional facilities separate helps us maintain our excellent-value overnight parking rates.

• Complimentary refuse facilities

Simple & Flexible Overnight Stays

Our overnight session (£7) runs from 5pm until 10am the following morning.

You are very welcome to arrive earlier and explore Tintagel during the day, simply paying the applicable daytime hourly rate or all day for only £7.

Simple payments on arrival can be made into the red machines with card or coins, or through the RingGo app, by phone or online. If you decide to stay longer, topping up your stay is easy using our car park payment machines or RingGo methods.

Dogs are welcome – we simply ask that you clean up after them and keep them on leads.

Our location makes us an ideal base for exploring the history, coastline and countryside of North Cornwall.

From the car park, you can easily explore:

A little further afield, you can discover Bodmin Moor, Rough Tor and Brown Willy, Cornwall’s highest point.
