Can I stay overnight?
Yes overnight parking is allowed for self-contained vehicles.
How can I pay for parking?
The car park is a pay and display car park and accepts a variety of payment methods; coin, contactless, chip and pin card payments and via the RingGo app (reference 62800).
Use any of the red Pay & Display machines on the King Arthurs Car Park.
How can I find you?
We are in main street of Tintagel, King Arthurs Arms Pub is on the corner of the car park. The postcode for satellite navigation is PL34 0DA. We recommend a combination of Satnav, preparing for the journey by looking up your forthcoming route on a tradition up-to date map and the observation of road signs.
The main route roads in Cornwall are now excellent and allow the freedom to tour the county and beyond.
Where are the closest public toilets?
There are toilets in the car park. Payment is by coin or card.
Do I need to book?
No. There is not a booking system. Just arrive and pay and display.
Do I need to pay at a special machine?
You may pay to park at any of the 4 red pay and display machines in King Arthurs Car Park or via the RingGo app (reference 62800).
Is the parking all year?
Parking on the tarmac of the car park is 24 hours a day all year round for all vehicles. Parking on the grass is seasonal, starting at Easter and finishing the end of October.
Is this site Licensed for overnight stays for motorhomes?
Yes. King Arthur’s car park is the only carpark licenced for overnight stays in Tintagel.
If there are already 15 motorhomes on the grass area , can I still park?
Yes. You may park on the adjacent tarmac area of the car park which is unlimited. The spaces along the fence dividing the grass and tarmac areas are longer than average car park spaces and will accommodate a longer than average van.
Please leave 2 car parking spaces between camper vans when staying overnight.
Can I empty my toilet cassette?
Yes there is a motorhome toilet cassette empty facility for motorhome/campervans using this car park. There is also grey water discharge point, toilets and shower. Ask the car park attendant or ring 07882502163 / 07738618486 . There is a charge for these options.
Can I stay for more than 24hours?
Yes.
You may also forward pay at the machine if you know how long you wish to stay, just add up the total price required following the prices displayed on the tariff boards. Top up payments also accepted.
Retain the ticket and keep on display whilst using the car park.
Is there water and electric hook up?
Drinking water can be purchased, please request from the car park attendant.
No there is no electric hook up.
Can I park overnight on the adjacent cars only grass section of car park that is locked overnight?
No.
Vehicles, cars, motorhome/campervan may not park at any time on that “cars only” grass area overnight. The tarmac area has unlimited parking that you can use.
Motorhomes are not allowed on this area at any time.
